Through photography I try to reimagine the everyday, often overlooked, busy, messy and overwhelming city life as beautiful images. I focus on the human interaction with the urban environment and look for simplicity, geometry, and the strong contrasts filled with colour, light and shadow to create mood and drama. My camera is less a recording device and more a tool for creating an intention. It gives me a purpose: to slow down and be observant of my surroundings. On a street that might be a routine commute one day, holding my camera helps me have a different perspective.
While keeping my images real and true to their origin, I don't shy away from technology and editing tools.
